White Mountain Animal Hospital is a full service animal clinic. We work with dogs, cats, exotics and large animals. We are here for all of your pets’ needs! Our head veterinarian, Dr. Ole Alcumbrac, DVM, is the White Mountain's most established practitioner. He has been a practicing veterinarian since 1989. He has owned and operated White Mountain Animal Hospital since 1991, and was original owner of Alta Sierra & Hearthside Veterinary Clinics. He has over 20 years of hands-on experience with animals of all shapes and sizes. When he is not here at the office taking care of family pets, he is out taking care of mother nature’s pets as a wildlife veterinarian. He has been internationally recognized and awarded for his contributions to veterinary medicine.
Dr. Ole is Director of Wildlife Health Services, specializing in immobilization and capture of native and exotic species. He is the consulting veterinary for the Arizona Game & Fish, White Mountain Apache Tribe, Navajo County and the US Fish & Wildlife Service. He serves as a veterinarian for Bearizona Wildlife Park in Williams, AZ, Adobe Mountain Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, Arizona Sonoran Desert Museum, the White Mountain Humane Society, Mexican Grey Wolf Project, Sonoran Pronghorn Recovery Program, Bighorn Sheep disease studies and the Phoenix Zoo.
Dr. Ole is a member of the American and Arizona Veterinary Medical Association. He has received the Commissioner's "Conservationist of the Year" award and the Award for Excellence from the Arizona Game & Fish.
Our mission here is to treat our clients as we would our own families, and treat our clients’ pets as though they were our own. Our clients and patients are the heart of our practice and the reason we are here. At all times our clients and patients will be treated with dignity, respect, and compassion. Being of service to our clients and patients is the definition of our practice.
