Dr. Kathrine Bratcher

Medical Director

Dr. Katherine Bratcher, Medical Director of White Mountain Animal Hospital, brings over 30 years of veterinary experience in small and large animal medicine. Passionate about internal medicine and diagnostics, she also serves with Navajo County Search and Rescue alongside her K9 partner, Ricki.

We are proud to have Dr. Katherine Bratcher serve as the Medical Director of White Mountain Animal Hospital. With more than 30 years of experience in veterinary medicine, Dr. Bratcher brings exceptional leadership, a deep commitment to patient care, and an impressive background in both small and large animal practice.

Originally from Southern California, Dr. Bratcher relocated to Sahuarita, Arizona during her high school years. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona and went on to receive her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of California, Davis in 1994.

Dr. Bratcher began her veterinary career in Brawley, California, working in a mixed animal practice before returning to Sahuarita, where she practiced until 2004. She later spent over ten years in Oklahoma, building on her experience in equine and mixed animal medicine and operating her own mobile equine practice from 1999 to 2015. During that time, she also provided relief services in small animal clinics and emergency settings across Arizona and Oklahoma.

In 2018, Dr. Bratcher moved to Show Low, Arizona, and continued her work in mixed animal medicine. After a year with a practice in Payson, she joined White Mountain Animal Hospital in November 2024, bringing with her a wealth of knowledge and a sincere passion for helping animals and their families.

Dr. Bratcher has a strong interest in internal medicine and complex diagnostics and enjoys working with a wide variety of species. She is especially fond of working breeds—particularly German Shepherds—and is dedicated to building lasting, trusting relationships with clients and their pets.

Outside the clinic, she volunteers with Navajo County Search and Rescue, where she serves as a ground searcher and K9 handler. Her current search partner is Ricki, a spirited two-year-old Dutch Shepherd/Belgian Malinois mix. At home, she enjoys quiet time with her cat, Diesel, and visiting her family in Sahuarita whenever possible.

We’re honored to have Dr. Bratcher leading our medical team and are grateful for the expertise, compassion, and dedication she brings to our practice and community.
