Dr. Shayne Garner grew up in a small rural town in southern Arizona, where her family raised a variety of animals including beef cattle, horses, swine, rabbits, and chickens. From a young age, she developed a strong work ethic and a lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian.
Before attending veterinary school, Dr. Garner worked for the USDA Forest Service as a Wildlife Biological Technician and volunteered at a wildlife rehabilitation center. She went on to earn her veterinary degree from Colorado State University, following the large animal track while also gaining hands-on experience in small animal practice.
She is certified in small animal acupuncture through CuraCore and has a special interest in wound care, pain management, and surgery. Dr. Garner also values the importance of preventative care and internal medicine.
Dr. Garner now proudly calls the beautiful White Mountains home and is excited to serve the people and animals of this wonderful community.
